Letters

Dear Phil, A lovely conversation last night. I was researching my past all the evening (actually up to 1.00 a.m. and found some things. I found a few sites....) The cromlech is not Lanyon of course.... it was known I think as Carwynnen Quoit in my day - anyway I never heard it called 'Pendarves Quoit' though of course it was on the estate. On these web sites there are references to it and pictures. I must try to enhance the photo of the Old Cornwall Society as I think I recognise my Grandfather in it but it is so indistinct and I could not get it to print completely right across so I will need to save etc. which I did not have time to do last night. www.cornovia.org.uk/hiac/hiac01 And if you go onto the following...  www.members.lycos.co.uk/troonexiles/Troon_Tugby_Team_1926-1927.JPG you will see a picture of my father first on left in the middle row. The Rev Richards.  I was thrilled to discover this photo last night for the first time. The Cornwall Record Office holds a lot of documents about Pendarves 490 files from 1306 - 1938 www.a2a.org.uk Pendarves of Pendarves. I am now filled with enthusiasm to contimue writing.  Sincerely Joan Timms
